Anushka appeared in a film known as Band Baaja Baraat starring Ranveer, where she played the role of a middle class who sets up her wedding planning business. It received favorable reviews and proved to be a surprise hit. Anushka had completed her three-film contract in partnership with Yash Raj Films.
